Puntamba | पुणतांबा is a village in Rahata taluka, Ahmadnagar district in the state of Maharashtra in India.
This is the place of temples. In fact this village is located on the banks of Godavari River.

Pilgrimage. Very famous Changdev Maharaj mandir is located here. SaiBaba Mandir (Shirdi ke SaiBaba) is 12 kms away from Puntamba. On the Godavari bank Ahilyabai's Ghat located whose construction dates back to the period of "Ahilyabai Holkar"
How to reach here ?
Puntamba is 23 kms and 18 kms away from Kopargaon & Shrirampur resp. Vaijapur tehsil - located in Aurangabad district is 20kms away.
By Rail :
You can travel to Puntamba either via Kopargaon or Shrirampur. Note that express trains do not stop at Puntamba except Maharashtra Express. Passenger trains are available. Consult the Kopargaon, Shrirampur , Manmad or Daund railway centers before planning a trip. Frequency of the trains is less.
[Separate rail-track to the very famous Shirdi Pilgrimage is under construction via Puntmaba; after which the frequency of the trains may improve.]
Maharashtra State transport buses are available from Kopargaon, Shrirampur and Vaijapur. Frequency is good.
By Private transport :
From Kopargaon and Shrirampur, private transportation is also availalble by Jeeps/Rickshaw.
By your own/rented vehicle , Puntamba can be reached from Shridi, Rahata, Pravaranagar, Kopargaon, Shrirampur or Vaijapur by road. However do not forget to check current road conditions while planning a trip.
Though Puntamba is located at a centralized geographical location from the various market places around, the political ignorance caused this ancient pilgrimage center remain in undeveloped state.
Agriculture and related products are the main sources of income.
C. Ramchandra (Annasaheb Chitlakar) , a very well known and famous music composer during the 1940 and 1950s, belongs to this village.
One of his very famous composition is Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo.
